Day by Day Itinerary for 8 Day Mozambique Tropical Luxury Tour

Day 1 : Depart from South Africa to Mozambique

We make an early morning start from Johannesburg and drive to the Mozambique border. We will pass the southern point of the Kruger National Park, close to the border of Mozambique. En route we stop at selected places so you can stretch your legs, use restrooms and so on.  After the border formalities, we will make our way up to beautiful Bilene, a small town surrounded by inland lakes. We should arrive around 4pm. We go to San Martinho Beach Club where we check in and settle down. Your accommodation for the next 2 nights will be a semi luxury unit or suite. In the evening we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 : Getting to know Bilene

We start the day with an early morning swim in the clear waters of the inland lake. After our rejuvenating swim we enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you have some free time during which  you can relax on the beach, spend time getting to know the local fisherman and maybe even go prawning with them. This is useful time to immerse yourself in their culture and get to know how the locals live. There is a local market where you can find an assortment of curios, and a walk through town is a must. Your local guide will accompany you on a short hike along the beach during which you’ll have the opportunity to observe the Hawksbill, Green and Leather-back Turtles that make this part of Mozambique their home.
