Day by Day Itinerary for Luxury Mozambique Tour

Day 1 : Bilene

Our tour starts off with a drive from the top of the plateau down to Nelspruit. We will pass the southern point of Kruger National Park, close to the border of Mozambique. En route we stop at selected places so you can stretch your legs, use restrooms and so on.  After the border formalities, we will make our way up to beautiful Bilene, a small town surrounded by inland lakes.

Here we go to the camp site where you can settle in. Your accommodation will be a comfortable tent or chalet/lodge. In the evening we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Dinner (Restaurant)
  • Camping: Tenet
  • Accommodated tour: Lodge

Day 2 : Activities

We start the day with an early morning swim in the clear waters of the inland lake. After our rejuvenating swim we enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you have some free time during which  you can relax on the beach, spend time getting to know the local fisherman and maybe even go prawning with them. This is useful time to immerse yourself in their culture and get to know how the locals live. There is a local market where you can find an assortment of curios, and a walk through town is a must. Your local guide will accompany you on a short hike along the beach to where you’ll have the opportunity to observe the Hawksbill, Green and Leather-back Turtles that make this part of Mozambique their home.

Once through Inhambane we will make our way down to the Barra Reef area for your diving. The next few days are for you to enjoy the beautiful beach and the amazing diving. (2 Dives per day)
