The Central Kalahari Game Reserve covers a large section of central Botswana. Its harsh, sprawling terrain is dominated by grasslands, home to wildlife such as giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, and wild dogs. There are several fossilised river valleys, including Deception Valley and Passarge Valley, which offer basic campsites. Dirt tracks wind south through the reserve’s remote landscapes to the Piper’s Pan area.

Day by Day Itinerary for 7 Day Botswana Safari

Day 1: Fly into Maun, Botswana

Your dedicated guide will meet and welcome you at Maun Airport.  You will then be treated to lunch during which your guide will brief you on the itinerary and exciting program ahead, there will also be some time for last minute shopping before heading into the Moremi.
Once we enter the reserve, you will experience a non-stop game drive.

We will slowly make our way to the campsite, while spotting wildlife of all sorts.
When we arrive, we will set up camp and you will have some time to relax, enjoy  the natural surroundings while sipping on an ice cold drink next to the campfire. Meanwhile, your guide and chef will prepare a delicious dinner on the open fire.

Day 2: Moremi

The sounds of the bush will wake you up as well as the smell of freshly brewed coffee. While enjoying a cup of coffee and some biscuits, your guide and chef will prepare a delicious breakfast, to fuel you for the exciting day.

Today, we will spend the day in Moremi Game Reserve, spotting wildlife and enjoying the bush. Lunch will be served along the way before we make our way back to the campsite.

Day 3: Khwai

An early morning rise followed by a delicious breakfast marks the start of the day, before we leave on another full day game drive.
We will pack up camp and leave Moremi behind. Today we will enter the Khwai concession.

After lunch is served, we will slowly make our way to our campsite in Khwai via a game drive.
Once we arrive at the campsite, we will set up camp and afterwards enjoy a deliciously prepared dinner under the African stars.

Day 4: Savuti

This morning will be an early start to the day followed by breakfast. After breaking up camp, we will leave Khwai behind and make our way to Savuti, also via a game drive. Lunch will be served in the reserve before we continue our game drive enroute to the campsite.

Camp will be set up and we will enjoy a dinner prepared on the open fire while listening to the sounds of the bush.

Day 5: Safari activities in Savuti

After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day of safari activities in the Savuti Reserve.

Day 6: Chobe

After having a delicious breakfast, we will break up camp and leave Savuti behind. We will slowly make our way to Chobe. After arriving at the campsite, we will set up camp for the last time and afterwards you will have some free time to enjoy an ice-cold drink at the bar or relax next to the pool. In the late afternoon, you will make your way to the boat station to enjoy a beautiful sunset boat cruise.

You will also have many opportunities to spot wildlife. After the boat cruise, you will return to the camp where your guide will have a delicious dinner ready for you.

Day 7: Chobe and Drop off

After breakfast, we will break up camp. But before leaving Chobe behind, we will do a morning game drive in the Chobe National Park.
After the game drive, you will be dropped off as arranged.
