Adventurous 3 Day Kruger Walking Safari

The greater Kruger has some fantastic areas for walking safaris.  During this safari you get to experience nature up close.  With is very little commercial activity in the reserve one is treated to a very natural and pristine wildlife encounter.

Your specialist trails rangers will be your dedicated guides for the duration of your safari. During walks and optional game drives you will learn important aspects of nature ranging from plant uses, bush craft and survival, insect life and learning many useful tips on the art of tracking animals. 

Something particularly special about this experience is that you have exclusive use of the earth camp site. The camp staff and guides will take care of you exclusively, with no other guests around.

Day by Day Schedule for 3 Day Kruger Walking Safari

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger

This is the start of your adventurous Kruger Walking Safari. We will pick you up early morning at OR TAMBO International Airport or your Johannesburg hotel. We will make our way to Kruger and pass beautiful landscapes along the way. We will have comfort stops during our transfer to our rustic accommodation in Greater Kruger.

In the late afternoon, we will arrive at our campsite. You will check in, relax and get to know the area. You will be met by your very own specialist guide who will check you in and explain you your daily activities as well as give you more information about this unique ecosystem.

Your accommodation will be canvass tents that features two luxurious single beds, with crisp white linen. Ablutions in Camp consist of Eco-friendly toilets, and old-fashioned fire-heated bucket showers. Ablutions are open air and privately screened among the trees, allowing ones privacy while being immersed in nature.

After check in you will depart on your first afternoon walking safari with your experienced guide.

In the evening enjoy a delicious dinner. Traditional dishes are prepared on the open fire, and include venison, roast vegetables, braais (barbeques), and our famous 'fire baked chocolate cake'.

Overnight in your camping tent.

Day 2: Walking Safari

In the morning you will enjoy a hearty breakfast where after you will depart on your morning walking safari.

The surrounding landscape features a wide variety of wildlife, stunning river lines, tributaries and rocky outcrops. Your expert game ranger with interpret the surroundings as you see, touch, taste, and smell the African bush. Afterwards, you will return to camp.

The heat of the day will be spent at the 'Farmhouse', where one can relax in the splash pool while sipping a cold drink.

Here you will have the opportunity to connect to WiFi, charge your devices, relax by the bar, or take a nap under the trees on a sun-lounger or hammock.

In the late afternoon, you will leave on another exciting walking safari.  (You may also choose a game drive instead)

Note: You can exchange one walking safari  a day, for a game drive. Night drives in our Safari vehicle are always exciting as we search for elusive nocturnal animals.

We will return to camp for a delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return to Johannesburg

Unfortunately, this is the last day of your Kruger Walking Safari. You will depart on your last morning walking safari and afterwards enjoy a delicious breakfast where after we will check out and depart for Johannesburg.

Time permitting we can return to Johannesburg via Panorama Route (additional cost will apply).

Drop off in the later afternoon as per arrangement.
