Day by Day Itinerary for Kruger Treehouse Safari

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger

We provide door-to-door pick-ups in Johannesburg. We’ll drive in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle via the Highveld farmlands to the scenic Lowveld and our Game Lodge in Greater Kruger. Along the way, we stop for lunch in a quaint village.

After settling in, you will transfer to an open Game viewer for a Sunset Drive. After dark, spotlights are used to locate nocturnal animals. Dinner will be an unforgettable Bush Braai at our new Marula Tree Boma deep in the African bush. You’ll stay overnight in an en-suite chalet in one of our participating lodges. Good Night!

Day 2: Greater Kruger activities

Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day in the bush! We’ll drive you to a remote part of the Balule Game Reserve, where you enjoy a 4 hour bush walk with and armed ranger. Your experienced and armed field guides will lead you through the bush at a comfortable pace as we search for animals and wildlife.

You’ll also learn interesting facts about the bush and the eco-systems of the wild. The excitement and thrill of a real bush walk in the wild will certainly get the adrenaline flowing. During this walk, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take some amazing photos or even record a video.

We’ll return to the bush lodge for brunch. After some free time, we’ll go on an afternoon game drive in a private reserve. Afterwards we transfer to the treehouse camp where you will overnight in one of the fascinating and romantic treehouses.

Day 3: Kruger National Park

After breakfast, you’ll travel in the open-sided Game viewer to the Orpen Gate of Kruger. The added elevation and absence of windows allow for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Your qualified guide will show you various animals, large and small, that frequent this outstanding wildlife paradise. This zone of Kruger has the highest percentage population of giraffe, zebra and antelope that attract numerous lions and other predators.

Day 4: Return to Johannesburg

We’ll have an early 45-minute morning Nature Walk. You will be shown various interesting details of the bush, including insects, spoor and scats. You might even encounter Nyala and other game on foot.

After breakfast we leave Kruger behind and drive to the Three Rondawels of the Blyde River Canyon where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We continue back to Johannesburg and stop over at Dullstroom for lunch. We’ll return you to your hostel, hotel, guesthouse or Johannesburg airport at around 17h00.
