Day by Day Itinerary for 3 day Kruger Tented Safari

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger

This Kruger Tented safari departs daily from Johannesburg OR Tambo airport. 

You travel East passing picturesque landscapes and farmlands on route to our lodge near Kruger. There are two 15 minute comfort stops en route. You will also be able to buy snacks and refreshments during these comfort stops. ETA in Hazyview is around 1 pm.

After check in you will have time relax and freshen up before boarding an open sided landcruiser for an exciting 2 – 2.5 hour late afternoon game drive in Kruger National Park. The lodge is about 15 – 20  minutes drive from the Phabeni Kruger Gate.

After your safari game drive you return to the lodge where you can unwind, have drinks and relax.

Day 2: Kruger National Park

This morning you will enjoy coffee/tea and rusks before departing on full day of game viewing in the Kruger National Park (Skukuza area). A Packed breakfast is included.  Game drives are in 10-seater specially modified open sided land cruisers.

The Skukuza area is rich in wildlife and the elevated height of the 4×4 open sided vehicle makes for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. After our sunrise game drive we stop for breakfast. A packed breakfast is provided and you can also buy food items at the shop in Kruger.

After breakfast we continue safari until lunch time. You’ll enjoy lunch at one of the park’s restaurants.  (own account) After a 45 minute lunch break we continue with afternoon safari in Kruger National Park.

During these game drives, you’ll see a wide variety of wildlife and have plenty of photographic opportunities. After our tour, we’ll make our way to back to our lodge or camp.

You will have time to relax before the delicious evening dinner.

Day 3: Return to Johannesburg

This is the last day of your African Kruger Tented Safari.   This morning you have a choice between another sunrise game drive or a relaxing at the lodge.  This is an optional game drive and for own account (payable at the lodge)

You will then return to Johannesburg. Comfort stops on the way. Drop off at Johannesburg OR Tambo airport around 5.30 pm - 6 pm.
