The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and not only offers superb Okavango scenery but also consistent game viewing all year round. You fly with light aircraft from Maun airport to the camp in the Delta and fly out again.

Day by Day Itinerary for 5 Day Botswana Authentic Delta Safari

Day 1: Fly from Maun to Safari Camp

Departure times may vary according to the schedule.  Approximate flight departure times are 10 am 2 pm.

You take off from Maun airport in light aircraft and your exciting safari experience is underway. Flight duration is around 40 minutes. After landing at the camps airstrip you will the transfer to camp for check in. 

You will have some time to relax before high tea and your afternoon safari activities.

Safari activities are scheduled by the camp manager according to conditions on the day.

These include mokoro expeditions, game drives and bush walks.

After your safari experience you will return to camp where you will have time to freshen up before evening activities. Later we gather around an open fire where you can chat and enjoy great company.  Enjoy a full course dinner before bedtime.  Overnight in your luxury tent.

Days 2 & 3

Wake up at sunrise to the first birdcalls of the day. Enjoy the crisp morning air as you greet the new day in the wild.  A light breakfast is served be before departing on an exciting morning safari adventure. Most animal activity occurs in the early and late afternoons and evenings.  

Each days safari activities are scheduled by the camp manager according to conditions of the day as well as guest preferences. Activities include mokoro outings, game drives and bush walks. Boat cruises and fishing are also possible.

Morning and evening game drives with qualified guides provide an opportunity to view the ‘big game’ and night life that this breath-taking environment offers.

A mokoro trip is a fantastic way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Okavango's waterways and wildlife.

Although seasonal, boating and fishing are possible at Pom Pom and your guides will be happy to take you to their secret spots to try for African pike and a variety of bream species. Mokoros, boat cruises & fishing are water level dependent.

After your morning safari activity return to camp for brunch.  You will have time to relax and enjoy the surroundings and camp facilities before the afternoon and evening safari activities.

After your night safari return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  Flight back to Maun

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before your flight back to Maun.

Sadly this is the end of your beautiful safari. But you will have incredible memories to share.
