Game Viewing
The Black Rhino Reserve
The Black Rhino Reserve is a private game reserve incorporated into the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. This lower-lying reserve’s sweet veld vegetation complements the Pilanesberg’s predominantly mixed sour veld. This type of habitat is known to carry a wide variety of game species including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The reserve has its own private entrance on the Western side of the reserve.
The reserve is characterized by huge numbers of Tambuti trees and we have occasional sightings of the shy and scarce black rhino. There are over 350 recorded bird species, thus making the area a birding paradise.
