Awesome Kruger -Vic Falls and Chobe National Park Safari

Day 1 : Depart to Kruger Park
We’ll either pick you up from your hotel/guesthouse in Gauteng or from the Johannesburg Airport. We’ll then travel via farmlands to the picturesque low veld towards Kruger National Park. On the way we stop for lunch in the quaint town of Dulstroom. After lunch we continue our journey to a game lodge in the Balule Section of the Kruger Park.
After a short break, during which you may unwind at the bar, have a swim or relax in the tropical gardens, we’ll board the open landcruiser for a 3 hour sunset wild life game drive. Your guide will show you various animals and birds and after darkness falls we use spotlights to locate nocturnal species. Dinner will be an unforgettable bush braai (BBQ) at the Marula Tree Boma.
After dinner, we’ll continue the night drive on our way back to the lodge. You stay overnight in a comfortable air-conditioned en suite thatch-roofed chalet.
Day 2 : Kruger National Park
Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day in the bush! We’ll drive you to a remote part of the Balule Game Reserve, where you enjoy a 4 hour bush walk with and armed ranger. Your experienced field guide will lead you through the bush. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals until you can take a photo will remain with you forever. Adrenalin surges will be acute, notwithstanding the presence of your armed ranger.
We’ll return to the bush lodge for brunch. At around 14h30, we’ll go on an afternoon game drive. Afterwards we transfer to the treehouse / tented camp where you will overnight in one of the fascinating and romantic treehouses.
Day 3 : Kruger National Park full day game drive
After early morning breakfast we head out on a full day’s open-vehicle game drive with a Kruger Park guide.
We’ll drive to the Orpen area in the Kruger National Park where you will enjoy a full day of exciting game viewing. The absence of windows and elevated vantage position allow for excellent photographic opportunities. You will have an amazing chance not only to view game but also to listen to and smell the African bush and its denizens. You can enjoy at one of the restaurants in a Kruger rest camp.
After lunch you continue with your game drive. Your experienced ranger will show you many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise. The Orpen-Satara region in Kruger boasts open plains and supports large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope which in turn attract numerous predators. In fact, the zones we visit have the highest concentration of lions in Africa!
Day 4 : Kruger Johannesburg
After an early morning cup of coffee or tea, enjoy an early morning nature walk accompanied by your guide. After a hearty breakfast, we depart Greater Kruger and drive to the awesome Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. This is the 3rd largest Canyon in the world and you will have time to take photos from various viewing points. Afterwards we drive to the quaint town of Dullstroom where you can enjoy lunch.
We’ll return to Johannesburg in the Gauteng province in the late afternoon. Drop off by arrangement around 16H00.

Day 5 : Botswana – Khama Rhino
We depart from the Johannesburg in the early morning and travel towards the Botswana border. After border formalities your Botswana guide will meet you and guide you on your journey through Botswana.
After our border crossing you will have the opportunity to exchange currencies. Then we head north to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This is a community based wild life project that endeavors to protect the endangered Rhinoceros as well as other species. The project is also of economic benefit to the local community through tourism and sustainable land use. The camp is set beautifully under large Manketti trees and is impeccably maintained.
You will enjoy a late afternoon game drive.
Overnight in one of the lodges in the area.
Day 6 : Chobe National Park
(Khama Rhino Rest Camp to Chobe NP in Kasane: Distance 700 km)
We travel further north through the Kasane forest where you will see herds of elephants, rare antelopes and often lion, hyena and wild dog. We should arrive at Kasane around mid-afternoon where we check in at a a local lodge. This will be our gateway to the Chobe National Park. You will have some time to chill out and relax. You will see a variety of wild life and bird species. There is also a good chance to see elephant, buffalo and hippo. In the late afternoon we will go on an exciting sunset river safari that will take you into Chobe National Park which is rich in wildlife.

Day 7 : Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe
After breakfast we depart and make our way towards the Zimbabwe border post. On the way we pass through the Kasane forest where we often see herds of elephants as well as a variety of antelope and occasionally lion, hyena and wild dog. From here we drive another hour to the vibrant town of Victoria Falls where we will be spending the next two nights. The campsite is situated in the middle of town, within 10 minutes walking distance of just about everything. Your guide will assist you with the bookings of optional activities. US dollar is the currency of choice in Victoria Falls / Zimbabwe.
In the afternoon we will visit the spectacular Victoria Falls which is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The Falls are 1700 meters (1.1 miles) wide, making it the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The best view of the falls is from the Zimbabwe side.
Later in the afternoon we enjoy a memorable sunset cruise on the beautiful Zambezi River. The Zambezi is the 4th largest river in the world and forms a natural border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. You will have a great opportunity to see animals coming down to the river for a drink, a We often see elephants, zebra, blue wildebeest, rhino, buffalo and a variety of antelope species. Hippo, crocodile and bird life are abundant in this region. All soft drinks, wine, beer and some snacks are included in the river cruise.

Day 8 : Free day in Victoria Falls
Thus is a day where you are free to spend your time as you please. Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas offer a great variety of things to see and do. You will have plenty of time to explore the town, meet the locals, visit the African markets with their wide variety of very affordable arts and crafts made from wood, stone and beads. Or you could simply relax by the pool and chill out in the heat of the day.
The Victoria Falls region is nicknamed the adventure capital of Africa for a reason. It is well known for its large variety of fantastic activities such as the best one day white water rafting in the world, the 111 meter bungi jump off the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia, horse safaris, flights over the waterfall, canoe safaris, day trips to Hwange national park, fishing safaris, game walks, super fast jet boat trips, abseiling, gorge swings and much more.
In the evening you enjoy a Boma dinner.

Day 9 : Elephant Sands in Botswana
(Victoria Falls to Elephant Sands in Nata: Distance 320km)
We leave the Vic Falls behind and make our way over the border and back into Botswana. We head south towards Nata and the Elephant Sands rest camp. Do expect to see elephants at the waterhole and around the camp site.
Day 10 : Overnight close to the border
(Nata to South Africa Border (Martins Drift): Distance 450 km)
After breakfast we depart and make our way to a location close to the South African border. We will spend the last night of our tour in a lodge / camp. In the evening we will enjoy our last dinner together.
Day 11. Return to Johannesburg, South Africa
After breakfast we head back to Johannesburg, South Africa. Drop off by arrangement. End of tour.
